What’s Your Price?
This is very personal for me, because it deals with a topic I still from time to time struggling with, but hope to help others to not struggle with it long or not at all.
That is Self-worth. I asked, “What’s your price?”, in the beginning because I wanted you to take the time to thing about it. Do you have a price? What price are you willing to pay for others (male or female) to like you, accept you and/or love you?
I allowed myself to be degraded for the love of men. I turned away from my Father in heaven, by committing actions that he despise and that affects me to this day (yes, I have been forgiven for them, but some actions have long lasting consequences).
Ladies and gentlemen for that matter, please remember that before you do anything: THINK not only about the now, but what about the later. The actions you commit know help determine the direction your future goes, so choose wisely.
With each new year there comes a push to get yourself together by losing weight or adding or removing this or that, so you can be like or look like, so in so, but there are not too many pushes in the media anyways, to better oneself from the inside out.
What about making a change to value yourself more by looking at your heart and allowing it to be cleaned up by Father God.
There is pressure from the media to look a certain way and if you do not then you are supposedly not anything to look at. Well I have come to tell you, that no matter who you are, you are fearfully and wonderfully made. A high price (the highest price) has been made and paid for us all, so that we do not have conform to what the world says is beautiful or right.
God says you are beautiful. God says you are so valuable that I know how many hairs you have on your head (Side note: Just typing that makes me cry, because like I mentioned there have been things that I have done that I am totally not proud of and the reason is b/c I was not secure in God) and I know that there are others out there that are/were like me. I did not think I was special. I thought that since he is treating me like crap, I must be crap. I must deserve it. The devil is a liar. Luke 12:7 NIV, Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. Referencing Matthew 6:26
God determines that. Not mere man who always and I mean always seem to change their mind, one day they say you are beautiful and the next I am not. One day, they say my hair is perfect so I am treated better than I am the next day when “they” think it is not perfect. It is all subjective and subject to change according to how a person might feel that day. Who wants to be bothered with that? God does not change His mind about us. He always thinks good thoughts about us and His good thoughts about us are continuous.
You do not have to look like others and do what others do (so-called celebrities). You know the ones that always are doing something or taking something off to make money, get attention and in the end acceptance.
You do not have to degrade yourself to be accepted. You are always accepted by the Father. Let what the Father says about you determine what you do and how you act. Let Him penetrate your heart as I am constantly having to purposely allow Him to do in me. You can be the most beautiful person on the outside by the world’s standards, but if your heart is ugly and nasty and mean then guess what? You are pretty ugly. I can attest to that because I wanted to be accepted and wasn’t without paying a price, I have acted ugly and said some pretty ugly things and it was because of hurt. Hurt of being rejected by people who said something was wrong with me b/c I looked and sounded different. I was always made fun of for some reason or another while I was in school and still am at times to this day, but I have to remember to find my worth in Him and not man. Man will always disappoint and fail me but not God.
We all want to be accepted in someway or another but are you willing to pay the price or accept the price that has been paid for you by Jesus Christ?
1 Corinthians 7:23 Amplified Bible (AMP)
23Â You were bought with a price [purchased with a preciousness and paid for by Christ]; then do not yield yourselves up to become [in your own estimation] slaves to men…
YOU ARE VALUABLE.
God Bless!!
