Theatre Recap: ‘Freed Spirits’ Horizon Theatre in Atlanta
For those of you that enjoy getting out and enjoying the Fall Season with changes of the leaves, cool breezes and everything Halloween, Freed Spirits, now playing at the Horizon Theatre in Atlanta is out now for your ghouling pleasure. It is a play by Daryl Lisa Fazio that takes place in Atlanta’s own, legendary Oakland Cemetery. You say cemetery any other day or time and I might run, but this one had me a bit intrigued. I love watching mysteries and comedies and you will find both in this play. It is showing until October 30th and it is one that you will want to see more than once.
There is a must see twist in this play and it is totally unexpected. That is why I love mysteries, you think that it is going in one direction, but then you blink your eye and you miss that a turn was made and left you behind.
I was able thanks to my hubby to snap some pictures with some of the staff which just helped make my night.
From the set design which stops you as you walk in the theatre, to the accuracy of the time period along with the clothing, you are going to be drawn in like we were, so hold on to your seat and be ready to take a ride to some of Atlanta’s past.

Party Time
Hubby and I decided after the play to take a little stroll in Little Five Points and enjoy some people watching. He has it down to a science, but not me. I feel strange just looking at all of the eclectic people and sounds all around in the area, but I must admit it is fun to just be in the atmosphere. We walked around some and we found a restaurant near the theatre. We ended up at Front Page News and as we entered we heard someone singing a Mary J Blige song and we had to stay. We enjoyed a drink special, well not really special, but a little discounted Bicardi Hurricane and that puppy was strong and good.

Great evening with a great guy, great play and good food. I am bound to be somewhere in Little Five Points and if you see me, please say hi:)
Until next time, thank you for reading and God bless.
