A Night of Redemption: Sing Sing’s Red Carpet Premiere and the Power of Art
Last night, I had the privilege of attending the red carpet closing night presentation of Sing Sing, a film that left a lasting impression. The energy was electric, buzzing with the anticipation of a film that promised a powerful story. Sing Sing tells the tale of Divine G (played by the phenomenal Colman Domingo), a man wrongly imprisoned at Sing Sing who discovers purpose and hope through an unlikely outlet: theatre. Alongside fellow inmates, Divine G finds solace and a chance at redemption within the confines of a prison drama group. The film’s focus on resilience, humanity, and the transformative power of art resonated deeply. It’s a testament to the…

The Hot Wing King Atlanta
I have received tickets to the performance in exchange my honest and unbiased opinion. #hotwingking #alliancetheatre Made a person want some hot wings. That is what it did 🙂 Seriously one the best plays that I have seen in a while. The Hot Wing King Atlanta made me think, laugh, sing and smile. You could not help but smile when seeing the smiles of the cast when they were trying to compose themselves in the scenes. After seeing the play, you wanted and wished that there was a real festival that you could go to and try those accidentally not what they were supposed to be wings. There was so…

I attended the event for free in exchange for my volunteer service. #ulgatl #thingstodoinatlanta The Urban League of Greater Atlanta was founded in 1920 as an affiliate of the National Urban League to support the multitude of African American families migrating from the rural communities of Georgia to the newly industrialized city of Atlanta during segregated times. 102 years later, ULGA, led by CEO Nancy Flake Johnson, strives to continue serving as an advocate for education, civic engagement, economic development, and a voice for the underserved in the Atlanta community. The celebration included a Reception, Program, and Concert featuring Anthony Hamilton. I have never seen him in person and he can really sang!! If you get a chance, please pay…

Food, Fun and More at the Atlanta Food & Wine Festival
Received a free pass to attend in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion & promotion. #afwf2021 #afwf Can you say one of the most anticipated food festivals in the South!! After that terrible disease came into town in 2020, it was postponed and we all had to wait until this year. Was it worth the wait? Yes!!! 1000 times yes, it was. Yes, this year looked different in the sense that there were several opportunities to sip and savor the south during a series of intimate, multi-course dinners, and brunches led by some of Atlanta’s top chefs. I hated that I missed those, but I can only hope for…
