Sunbutter Gluten Free Treat
Hello all. I am back with another Try Something New Tuesday (#tsnt) addition and today it is my pleasure to tell you about the Sunbutter brand. I was gifted with some samples and it is just in time. I am currently doing a detox which I will tell you about in detail in another post, but it includes no gluten, no dairy, no sweets (sugar), no artificial sweetners and a couple of other things. Now most of the guidelines I have been sticking to for over 3 weeks now and it has been challenging, especially the no gluten and no sugar. Thank God for Sunbutter, because I have to have…

Gluten Free Salmon Cakes
This is an ole to my mommy. I want to thank her publicly for being such an awesome person. There have been many a day as a grown up that I am exhausted with coming up with new and different recipes, which she managed to do seemingly to me effortlessly. My mommy on occasion when my brother and I were younger would make mackerel croquettes and honestly I could not get past the bones in the mackerel so I never really wanted it, but today, I actually especially on fried fish, love to crunch on those bones and look for bone in fish at restaurants and when available I would…

Gluten Free Snacking with Beanfields Snacks
Beans, beans they are good for your heart. The more you eat them the more you……. Â Beans as a snack? Who would have thunk it? Not I, until I ran across, Beanfields. I like beans, but have fallen in love with beans now after trying these snacks. You can eat them by themselves which I managed to do with the Ranch flavor or …. pair them with some homemade chunky guacamole and use them for the chips in my turkey nachos. My turkey nachos will never ever be the same after adding these bean and rice chips to the mix. Hubby and I are major snackers and when he…

Gluten Free options with Milton’s Craft Bakers
Who in the world does not enjoy chocolate chip cookies or even double chocolate cookies? These flavors of cookies have been around for forever, however not in a gluten free option. That is until recently and in fact I have had the pleasure of trying out some tasty gluten free options from Milton’s Craft Bakers. Soft cookies are an extreme weakness of mine. I have them with ice cream, with coffee and downright by themselves because they are that delicious. Only 90 calories per serving and are nut and peanut free. On a wonderful day in Atlanta, we took some gluten free baked chips as a snack instead of…

Eden Foods: Instant Organic Miso Soup
It is getting hot and too much work to decide what to take for lunch and then once I decide on what that is going to be then pack it up and bring it along with me to work. I am sorry, but I honestly carry too much stuff sometimes and I have decided at least for a couple of days a week that I will ease my load and have something lite and easy to carry. In fact, something that I can leave at the office and when I am hungry I can easily pull it out and prepare it. That quick and easy item are Instant Organic Miso…

Gluten Free Banana Nut Bread made with Almond flour
Ripe bananas, almond flour, vanilla, eggs, hmmm starting to sound like a banana bread to me and not only that a gluten free banana bread. I figured if I can do a gluten free dessert that I will be able to bring it to events where I am asked to make something that just about any and everyone can eat it.

A couple of weeks back I was priviledged to be a part of the Gluten Free and Allergen Friendly Expo as an official blogger. See my Pre-post â‡. This was the 1st major expo that I was a part of with other bloggers and I did manage to meet a couple of great people and in particular, Rachel with Cumming Local and Sara with http://www.sarasorganiceats.com. Gluten Free and Allergen Friendly Expo Recap #gfafexpo Admittedly this is my 2nd time attending #gfafexpo, but this time it was great to be on the inside and talk with the companies that were present and learn more about their products. Challenge: with learning about…

Chicken Sausage Switch with Al Fresco
As most of you have heard there is a big push to switch from pork to chicken, particularly in the sausage category. I jumped upon that band wagon as well due to the fact that hubby and I are attempting to lose some weight before our anniversary this August. I chose the Roasted Red Pepper and Asiago, but just for the record they have 10 different flavors so feel free to pick and chose depending on the recipe you have in mind. I had to have something quick/fast to be able to whip up quickly during the middle of the week and thanks to the fact that the chicken sausage…
