Highball Festival Atlanta
We received tickets to the event in exchange for coverage. #ad #spon #highballATL #FlockUp #BirdFam4Ever #CheersYall #FullSpeedAhead What an incredible experience and time had at the Highball Festival that was held at the historic Pullman Yards in Atlanta. This two-day event, curated by Futurebirds, featured bands that they handpicked, and can I say that they did a hellava job at it too. Headliners were Band of Horses one night and The Head and the Heart the other night. The crowd was pumped and amped both days. Hubby and I love music, and we had a ball and certainly found some new bands to follow and listen to. Talk about talented…

Savannah Bee Hair Wash Day
Honey, one great ingredient included in a lot of things and this time I get to experience it in hair products. I have been gifted with Shampoo and Conditioner from Savannah Bee Company to test out and do a honest and unbiased review of their products. Washing and conditioning my hair is a weekly occurrence and this time I was happy to be able to use products with great natural ingredients, such as in the Shampoo: aloe vera leaf juice, coconut, sugar beets, conditioning agent from seaweed, lemongrass oil, French lavender oil, etc and in the Conditioner: aloe vera leaf juice, orange peel wax, cotton seed oil, spearmint leaf…

Earth Day Dinner with The Wing Cafe
Almost 2 weeks ago Friday it was Earth Day and I had the chance to celebrate it for the 1st time as an ambassador with CulinaryLocal, I was sent to The Wing Cafe to get my 6 course dinner and drink pairing on. Guests enjoyed a great 6 course meal and Sierra Nevada beers thanks to Ryan Bing (The Head), southern picnic style. Yes, I said beers, for with every meal there was a different beer pairing and we had a nice Fire Pit right in the middle of the concourse just outside of the restaurant to serenade us. Ryan gave us a brief history of the beer selections, the…

Sex with Strangers Recap and After Party
What could better after a long week of hectic and busy schedules and demands from the boss than to relax with a great play followed by food and libations. A couple of weeks back, I mentioned, a play called Sex with Strangers and how hot it was going to be and indeed it was hot. It was a wonderful Friday night and hubby and I were invited to attend opening night of the play and an after party. We drove down to Little 5 points and as usual enjoyed our drive and was going over how much of a sucky week we had both had and that we were looking…

Frozen Strawberry Mint Julep | Kentucky Derby with Four Roses Bourbon
Four Roses Bourbon asked me to use my creative juices to come up with a drink in time for the Kentucky Derby. The Kentucky Derby has been one of those events that I have always wanted to attend. I was privileged to be born in Kentucky, but not raised there. My mom decided to have me near my grandmother (her mom), that lived in West Virginia and the nearest hospital was where, in Kentucky. So when her water broke and I decided to make my debut into the world, it was in the Spring month of May which is when the Kentucky Derby is held. My mommy and I stayed…

Bugs Bunny Comes to Six Flags Over Georgia
Have you ever had a day of experiencing new things, but not just you but others with you? I have just had that happen to me. I have lived in Georgia for over 5 years and have been to go to Six Flags. Usually, I would have preparing for another blog post or something, but I could not believe the night before that I could hardly sleep. It was almost as if Santa Claus was coming. I was such the kid:) I was so excited to be going to Six Flags with my nieces and to my surprise when I went to go get them, their mom did not tell…

Sex with Strangers: Horizon Theatre Atlanta
Just a tease, but I will be back to share with you my take on this promising to be very sexy production. Everybody including the most innocent of the innocent are on the internet and some of the not so innocent. Steaming up the Horizon Theatre stage this spring is the Atlanta premiere of Sex with Strangers, created by House of Cards writer Laura Eason, an up-to-the-minute play about intimacy and ambition that is sweeping the country. When successful bad boy blogger Ethan tracks down his idol, the gifted but unrecognized novelist Olivia, he finds they each crave what the other possesses.…
