Grilled Cheese & Beer Book – National Cheese Lover’s Day
Grilled cheese sandwiches are one of my most favorite things to eat anytime of the year. Why? Simply because I enjoy cheese and I do not discriminate. It is perfect in the summer with a refreshing beer and in the winter with a hardy soup. There seems to be no wrong way to make a grilled cheese sandwich and that excites me. Just in time for National Cheese Lover’s Day, January 20th comes, Grilled Cheese & Beer: Recipes for the Finer Things In Life. Ménage à Cinq Ingredients: 3 slices of sourdough bread 2 slices of cheddar cheese 1 slice mozzarella cheese 1 slice of Muenster cheese 1 slice pepper…

Tracy’s Gourmet Salad Dressing and Marinade Review
As a member of Women of Culinary, I had the opportunity to review Tracy’s Gourmet Dressings and Marinades free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review of the products. #ad For the past 6 years of so, I have been changing up my eating every January and with it includes more salads, but the dressings. They have so much in them that I am better off just doing oil and vinegar and adding my own seasoning, but I get bored with it. With the need for clean salad dressings that have ingredients that you can read, pronounce and actually understand, there are not many in that category that I…

National Gluten Free Day – Explore Cuisine
Edamame, Black Bean, Chickpea, Red Lentil. I have had each of these in their “natural” form, but I have got to tell you if you like anyone of these and you are gluten free then you would enjoy what I am about to share with you. I came across an awesome brand that I have not known about until recently and I have covered a good couple of Gluten Free Expos in Atlanta. I have received some spaghetti in each of the forms of protein mentioned above for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. Currently, I am eating differently and starting to more cognizant of what I…

Gluten Free Salmon Cakes
This is an ole to my mommy. I want to thank her publicly for being such an awesome person. There have been many a day as a grown up that I am exhausted with coming up with new and different recipes, which she managed to do seemingly to me effortlessly. My mommy on occasion when my brother and I were younger would make mackerel croquettes and honestly I could not get past the bones in the mackerel so I never really wanted it, but today, I actually especially on fried fish, love to crunch on those bones and look for bone in fish at restaurants and when available I would…

Eden Foods: Instant Organic Miso Soup
It is getting hot and too much work to decide what to take for lunch and then once I decide on what that is going to be then pack it up and bring it along with me to work. I am sorry, but I honestly carry too much stuff sometimes and I have decided at least for a couple of days a week that I will ease my load and have something lite and easy to carry. In fact, something that I can leave at the office and when I am hungry I can easily pull it out and prepare it. That quick and easy item are Instant Organic Miso…

Johnsonville Grillers Review
Tired of the plain bland burgers? I have something for you to try. As a member of Crowdtap I was chosen to be a part of the Johnsonville Grillers campaign and was given a coupon for a box of any flavor of the product. Hubby went to our local Walmart and it was found with the other frozen hamburgers. We chose Steakhouse Onion flavor and when I tell you the flavor is intoxicating it is. There are options to cooking these, however using the grill was the way that was strongly suggested. Grilling always give things that extra ump, but since we are in need of another grill we just…

Earth Day Dinner with The Wing Cafe
Almost 2 weeks ago Friday it was Earth Day and I had the chance to celebrate it for the 1st time as an ambassador with CulinaryLocal, I was sent to The Wing Cafe to get my 6 course dinner and drink pairing on. Guests enjoyed a great 6 course meal and Sierra Nevada beers thanks to Ryan Bing (The Head), southern picnic style. Yes, I said beers, for with every meal there was a different beer pairing and we had a nice Fire Pit right in the middle of the concourse just outside of the restaurant to serenade us. Ryan gave us a brief history of the beer selections, the…

Sparky Shuffle Cocktail with Four Roses Bourbon
Four Roses Bourbon asked me to come up with a drink to celebrate baseball season, and although I am late for opening day forgive me please:) Being from the “D” everybody who could went to the Detroit Tigers games. I heard about them every since I was a little girl and still to this day if there is a game on and the Tigers are playing no matter what team they are playing I am going to support them. Baseball was a game that I would watch the boys play on the playground and duck and sometimes run away when the ball would come my way. To see the players…

Sex with Strangers Recap and After Party
What could better after a long week of hectic and busy schedules and demands from the boss than to relax with a great play followed by food and libations. A couple of weeks back, I mentioned, a play called Sex with Strangers and how hot it was going to be and indeed it was hot. It was a wonderful Friday night and hubby and I were invited to attend opening night of the play and an after party. We drove down to Little 5 points and as usual enjoyed our drive and was going over how much of a sucky week we had both had and that we were looking…

Oy! Restaurant Experience
Calling all foodies everywhere. I have a restaurant for you and some of you food blogger have already been there I know or know someone who has been there. Hubby and I are foodies in the heart, but we are not always able financially to go where we want when we want. At those times we go to a place that has great food, large portions and is reasonably priced and we found another one!!! I am a major researcher (anyone looking to hire researchers, I am your girl (wink)), and so it started off with me looking for a restaurant that has a Sunday brunch. I wanted to take…
