I Miss My Heartbeats
As I laid on my husband’s chest and listened to his heartbeat I began to feel a little sad. I hear my heartbeat all the time and it seems to be no big deal until there is something wrong and I thank God to still be able to hear it. I became a little sad because I thought about our little ones, my little ones that I miscarried and how I miss my heartbeats. This post is not to harp on the sadness that I and countless others have felt during times like these and/or others when heartbeats become faint and then no more from senseless violence and other…

Freed Spirits Horizon Theatre in Atlanta
Hello All. I am back and hopefully to stay:) I have had a month and it has been crazy. Stop by and I will tell you about it sometime soon. When I visit a city that I have never been to before or just want to know more about I usually go on some type of tour, but the one type of tour I do not go on is a ghost tour. Hecks no. No way in double hockey sticks, but there just might be one ghost tour that I might have to take part in. What will make me change my mind you ask? Well…. Horizon Theatre is back…

Opening night was a success and every night/showing since, so you want to get in to see this awesome play before it leaves Atlanta. The play showing at the Horizon Theatre in Little Five Points, is called ‘da Kink. The play is written by Trey Anthony who has done quite a bit of work in Canada and is also known for her work as a writer on the Chris Rock Show. You know she has got to be funny if she worked on the Chris Rock Show. If you want to Know a Woman, Touch her hair is one of the main sayings in the play and it is so…

Georgia Peach Fashion Week #GPFW Recap
Georgia Peach Fashion Week #GPFW Recap One of the hottest fashion weeks was held here in Atlanta in April 2016. This is the second year for the Georgia Peach Fashion Week #gpfw and each year it gets better and better. More designers and models, bigger venue, more press you could not beat it. Speaking of press, I was asked to be a part of media as God4bandme and I proudly as well as my husband/manager covered it to the best of our ability. We took lots and lots of pictures and were allowed to take behind the scenes footage (pictures and video below). The awesome opportunity to be backstage as…

da Kink in My Hair at Horizon Theatre Atlanta
What a title?!! ‘da Kink in My Hair and Lord knows I have a lot of kinks in my 4b hair, but you know God gave it to me and I chose to love it anyway. Now where do most people, women and men, share their most juiciest of the juiciest? If you said the hair salon or the barber shop you are absolutely correct. This new play that has won 4 NAACP Awards is headed to the great, Horizon Theatre and yes again, I am looking forward to this one. It is bound to make you laugh and cry like one tends to do in the hair salon anyway:)…

Kia Sorento Turned My Birthday Around
You talk about a week starting off crappy: our water was out for 5 days straight and no it was not because we did not pay the bill. There is no bill. The middle of the week I was approved for a Kia Sorento and when was it being delivered? Yes, my birthday and so this is a story on how Kia Sorento Turned My Birthday Around. Enjoyed almost everyday that I had the Kia Sorento taking advantage…

I Can See Thanks to GlassesShop.com
Blogging over 30 hours a week, not including working outside of the home for 40 hours each week is not easy. Something is going to suffer and unfortunately it is my eyes. Both my parents wear glasses and it was only a matter of time that a vision challenge even a small one would pop up. Okay, it is not their fault:). I do have a horrible habit of when I focus to lean forward towards the computer monitor and that I know has paid a price. The price is me having to get my eyes checked and being told something I was hoping not to hear but not surprised…
