Show Me The Father, is the new film from the Kendrick Brothers, who brought us Courageous, Overcomer, and War Room. This time the goal is to show us the Fatherhood of God.
About Show Me The Father
Everyone has a unique father story. Whether positive or painful, it’s always personal and can deeply affect the core of our identity and direction of our lives. SHOW ME THE FATHER is the Kendrick brothers’ first documentary film, and it features a variety of amazing true stories. This captivating documentary takes audiences of all ages on an inspiring and emotional cinematic journey. Providing a fresh perspective on the roles of fathers in today’s society, SHOW ME THE FATHER invites you to think differently about how you view your earthly father, and how you personally relate to God.
My Take of Show Me The Father
I can honestly say that this is the first time that I took notes and wanted to take notes so that it can help serve as a reminder of the love of Daddy God. There were parts all over the film that made me think about the love my Dada had for me and the love I have for him and how he was unknowingly sharing some attributes of Daddy God.
There were some subheading like: A Father’s Impact, A Father’s Brokenness, A Father’s Embrace and more. Let me just share that when you see it, you will be moved. Moved to contact your daddy and/or a father figure in your life. Words were stressed, like: identity, don’t drop the ball, relationship and love.
There were so many times during the preview that I had to rewind, because I was crying from a statement or scene mentioned that I had to hear and see it again. This movie is important for all to see, whether your biological father was a good or bad father. Father God wants to be a loving Father to us. Jesus came to introduce us to the Heavenly Father. Dr. Tony Evans shared, “Our earthly fathers crack the mirror so the image of the Heavenly Father doesn’t come through clearly.” That statement is the absolute truth and it sometimes causes us to look at Father God with cracks instead of looking at Him as the Perfect Father He is.
I strongly suggest that you take your family and friends to see, Show Me The Father, starting September 10th.
