Self-care is everyone’s friend. It sounds horrible, but actually taking care of yourself does give you the extra charge you need when you are always giving to others. As a black woman, I have been one that puts a lot on my shoulders. I try to carry all of the weight, but I do not think that I am doing a great job of it. When given the opportunity to read Self-Care for Black Women, I had to take it for a chance to help myself and others.

I gravitated to the chapter about oiling your scalp. Simple as I do not know what, but is that something that I take the time to do often? Nope, not until now!! Something so needed for hair growth and a great way to pamper yourself.
