Red Velvet Bistro is the Most Blissfully and Awesome Restaurant in Douglasville Georgia

Where do you go on a Friday night after a hard work week? When hubby mentioned that we were going on that one Friday I decided to surprise him with one of the newest restaurants in Douglasville Georgia, Red Velvet Bistro. I saw on Facebook that on Friday nights, a DJ was going to be in the house. I said to myself, ” I am sold!!” We got off work at 5:00 pm and by 5:30 pm, we were out of the house. I had made reservations, so we did not have to worry about having a seat since I had seen how popular the restaurant was becoming. Red Velvet Bistro can be found right in the heart of Downtown Douglasville where you will find the area crowded and filled with residents and beyond, trying to get their weekend fun started.

Happy Hour Fun

We arrived during the happy hour and took advantage of their drink special and some half-priced, reduced-sized appetizers, We tried their cauliflower bites and salmon bites. Both were delicious. We actually liked the cauliflower bites the best, but don’t get me wrong, both were delish.

Red Velvet Bistro Finds

After some more interaction with our great server, we finally made a decision as to what we wanted. Eating vegan, 80-90 percent of the time, it was good to see that there were some vegan options. Hubby tried the Surf & Turf with mashed potatoes and asparagus as his sides. I tried the Fried Snapper with collards and mashed potatoes. Both meals were delicious. Our thoughts, both are meals that will be loved by anyone who tries them. The turf was one of the best steaks that he has ever had. I thought that the snapper was pretty good. We did order two desserts, but we, unfortunately, did not like them so we did not take pictures to share.

You have got to check it out for yourself. Remember, I mentioned that DJ? After we ate, we went upstairs where the entertainment can be found. It is a different vibe as far as decor up there that is tavernish-like and it was so much fun. We are going back for the DJ on a Friday night and trying a different meal. Upstairs, there is a patio section that will be open once the weather permits.
