National Pound Cake Day
Who does not love a celebration? We celebrate everything big and small around these parts, especially life. Whether you are celebrating your 1st year or marriage or the win of your 1st client, there is always something to celebrate.
In our household, there are many things to celebrate, but we just decided to celebrate the fact that we love each other and heck because we just love to eat cake.
We were privileged to be given 2 delicious pound cakes, just in time for National Pound Cake Day, to which I am very surprised that I have never ever heard of this day. I, the lover of sweets, skipped a day that was made especially for me. How could that be? I get to make up for it now, because a wonderful company, Janie’s Cakes from Tyler, Texas contacted me and wanted to see if I wanted to try a Texas treat. (I have a friend from Texas and she never told me about this place, so Imma get her later:)
So these precious boxes came to the house dressed up so pretty that I did not want to disturb them but as you see below they arrived still in tack.
So yes, I believe they ship all over the U.S., but instead of taking my word for it check them out for yourselves ⇒Janie’s Cakes. They for sure will ship to Georgia, so all of your Georgians get to ordering. They are right now offering $4.00 dollars off of any Jane or Baby Jane cakes whether in store or online until March 6th.
I must say that I love pound cake and I even more so love buttercream icing and they just went and combined the two. The cakes are moist and I was surprised stayed moist for the time period that they did, but that just tells you that they work with quality ingredients (farm fresh eggs, pure vanilla, grade AA butter (not 1 A, but 2 AAs), and organic ingredients.
Not many/if any companies do this, but Janie’s Cakes make sure that their delicious cakes come with care instructions. To me that makes this company even more awesome because I would have not done what they suggested and as a result, I would not have enjoyed my cake experience.
Cakes were given to me in exchange for an unbiased review.
