NANCY’S PIZZERIA OPENS NEW ATLANTA LOCATION IN PERIMETER VILLAGE
Nancy’s Pizzeria, the inventor of Chicago Stuffed Pizza, today announced the official grand opening of its Dunwoody location on January 31, 2019. The new restaurant, located within the Perimeter Village Shopping Center off Dunwoody Road, is the fifth Nancy’s in Georgia and one of 32 locations nationwide.
To celebrate the arrival of stuffed pizza to Dunwoody, Nancy’s is inviting the entire Dunwoody community to its grand opening event. That day, all customers who order a Nancy’s Signature Stuffed Pizza will get 50% off their second stuffed pizza (of equal or lesser value).
“Nancy’s Stuffed Pizza is a pizza delicacy that needs to be enjoyed by all, not just Chicagoans. That is why we have worked so hard to continue to open new locations nationwide and especially in Atlanta,” said Dunwoody Franchisee Yves L. Dominique. “We hope the Dunwoody location becomes a new go-to for local pizza lovers and look forward to becoming part of the community.”
In addition to Nancy’s Signature Stuffed Pizza, the Dunwoody location will offer a substantial menu ranging from classic Nancy’s menu items with a modern twist to brand new, fresh and flavorful options.
The restaurant’s design reflects the decadence and rebellion that defined American culture in the 1970, takings guests on a magical mystery tour back to the time when stuffed pizza was first created. The expansive space features a large indoor dining area that can accommodate 117 guests and a patio that seats an additional 20 people.  Â

About Nancy’s Pizzeria
Nancy’s invented stuffed pizza. Period. Born during Chicago’s “Golden Age” of pizza, Nancy’s Signature Stuffed Pizza was invented by Rocco Palese and his wife, Annunziata (“Nancy”). The 2″ thick stuffed pizza perfectly balances the rebellious spirit of 1970s America and centuries-old Italian traditions. When his patrons began asking for Chicago’s famous pan pizza, Rocco resisted the urge to imitate. Instead, he pulled inspiration from his Italian roots and layered cheese and toppings between two crusts creating a stuffed pizza pie. The stuffed pizza was born, and the rest, as they say, is Chicago pizza-making history. Since then, Nancy’s has opened a total of 35 restaurants throughout the country, while also maintaining its commitment to making Rocco’s authentic and original stuffed pizza.
About Dunwoody Franchisee Yves L. Dominique
Yves Dominique is a resident of the greater Atlanta area by way of The Big Apple. He spent most of his adult life in New York and was a professional on Wall Street. A few short years ago, Mr. Dominique crunched the numbers of his personal level of fulfillment and felt a deficit. He yearned for more. His career as a financial expert offered rewards and incentives, but he lacked the kind of connection with people and community where he could feel impactful. He moved to Atlanta in pursuit of a better quality of life and opportunity. After much thought, he took the path of restaurant ownership. Yves Dominique started the entrepreneurial journey towards being a McDonald’s Operator. Months of preparation and training, another opportunity presented itself. He was introduced to the home of the original stuffed pizza. After some research of the company and gaining a few pounds from his product testing, he joined the Atlanta market of Nancy’s franchisees. More than a year of kneading dough and stuffing pies, he is ready to open his doors. For Yves, it’s more than business ownership, but he finally gets to interact with the community he loves, serving not only delicious food but opportunity and resource for others.
