How to Keep it Simple Sweetie

Keep-It-Simple-Sweetie

The look in my face in the picture above indicates that I am somewhat a bit happy about something. I decided to use KISS which usually means something derogatory especially what the last S stands for and most times it is the word “stupid”, but I decided to change the word. Keep it simple sweetie is directed at me and any other person who have had challenges with their hair.

I have been natural for over 4 years now and during my first 6 months or so, I would use simple hair products to maintain my hair and not venture out so much. I have since that point tried various hair products to see if they would help me maintain moisture in my hair, however I have been chasing the moisture that I have had years back until now. As you can see in the above picture there is mad definition from a twist out that I have not had in a while.

I needed a deep conditioning so I made sure to do that first, then treat my hair with Apple Cider Vinegar Recipe, wash my hair in a moisture rich shampoo that did not have parabens or sulfates in it before utilizing the loc (liquid oil cream) method. Part of Keep it Simple Sweetie is to know when you need a deep conditioner, hair product to clean hair (co-wash or shampoo), leave-in (moisture), oil and a cream. Use the items that have worked all along at least that is what I have found and it worked.

These are the hair products that I used to achieve this result:

Deep Conditioner

Giovanni Direct Leave-in

Radha Beauty Coconut Oil

Real African Shea Butter

Moisturized-twists

Clean hair, well moisturized and as you saw great definition. The Keep it Simple Sweetie method worked for me and hopefully it will work for you.
