How to apply:

Directions state to start out with clean skin and apply a thin layer of the mask and if you are putting it on the face, stay away from the eyes and lip areas. Leave mask on for 10 minutes, but I started to feel an extra tingle so at the 8 minute point I used warm water and gently removed it from my skin. You then pat dry with a clean cloth and I applied a lite moisturizer afterwards.

What happened next:

I noticed after I did rinse off the mask that my skin was soft but a little dry, so for the next few applications (once a week as suggested), I would not keep it on as long. About a minute or two after it hardens and it really does, I rinsed it off my face and my face was not as dry. Either way, moisturizer is necessary after the mask. I did not have any problems with the product. There was not any redness in my skin or any damage whatsoever to my skin.

The jar is 16oz and it will last a long time, because a little goes a long way. This is the best substitute to going to the spa and having a mud mask done there.
