Heart Healthy No Egg Scramble
I received samples from The Vegg for free but my opinions are my own.
Today I am coming to share with you a new find, The Vegg, a plant-based alternative to eggs. It is perfect for those who are allergic to eggs, vegan or maybe just want to try something different than traditional eggs.
I have been attempting to go vegetarian for the past two months and it honestly started off great, but life happened and quite frankly I wanted to use up the food that was in my house.
I know. I should have given it away, and some I will but eggs? Come on. I had to eat those and in fact, I was used to having some form of egg for years and it was a bit of a struggle to give them up. Not as much as bacon, but that is another story.
Plus of No Egg Scramble:
- Color of eggs
- Healthier than eggs
- Texture same as eggs
- Thickness is up to you (add more water if you want)
- Taste close to eggs
- Available on Amazon
Minus of No Egg Scramble:
- Not much of a taste it’s own
- Soy is in it (stay away if you are allergic)
- Following package directions, the consistency is like pancake batter
How to use Vegg:
You can use it in a burrito, fried rice, just about anything you would have a scrambled egg, as well as for breakfast (recipe found below)
Heart Healthy No Egg Scramble
Quick and easy protein packed vegan breakfast scramble.
- 4 TBSP Vegg Scramble (Prepare as package states)
- 1/4 Diced Onion
- 1/2 TBSP Olive Oil
- 3/4 cup Chopped Kale
- 1/4 Diced Bell Pepper
- Salt and Pepper
Saute Kale, onion and bell peppers for 3 minutes
Move Kale mixture to the side. Pour in The Vegg scramble on the other side.
Cook Vegg with a spatula or fork until it reaches your desired consistency and mix with veggies. Viola.
Season the scramble with salt and pepper until it tastes like you want it.
Would I use Vegg again? Yes!!!
My body was certainly happy that I had the scramble for breakfast. It kept me full for a minute and I was surprised about that one. Glad of course, but did not see that coming:) Totally worth making again.
Have you tried Vegg products before? What did you think about it?

I like the fact that they have the same taste and texture as eggs. Those are really important factors when I choose an egg substitute!

I can’t eat eggs very often, although I have heard that eggs are good for my cholesterol 😉 They cramp me up, so I don’t eat them often at all. I love the idea of whipping up this heart healthy scramble since I DO have hypertension and trying to adjust my eating habits.

I am so glad to find a vegan option for eggs. I have some friends that are vegan and it’s so hard to make a menu for them when they come to visit!

I would definitely try this. I eat a lot of eggs, and I know I should cut back. This might be one way to do so.
