Defining My Curls with Smooth ‘n Shine

Being a coily hair 4b natural girl, I have ran into some challenges in my over 5 years of being natural with trying to find a balance between defined my curls, while not drying out my hair. I have tried all types of products, only to find that it left my hair dry and not as defined as I would like.

My usual routine would be to use a leave in conditioner, oil and cream and then twist my hair and after a couple of days take my hair a loose and wear it for a couple of days and then retwist. All the while, wishing my hair was more defined, I just put up with the results, thinking that it was not really possible for me until Smooth ‘n Shine.

I noticed that Smooth ‘n Shine was offering a rebate offer and so I decided to take advantage of it and purchased the Curl Defining Gel. Now I must say that I usually do not use gel and that might have been part of my issue, but hey, I did not like to put unnecessary product in my hair possibly causing damage.

I had an event to go to and decided to try the Curl Defining Gel and am I glad that I did. The product as you can see defined my hair wonderfully. Some shrinkage, yes, but defined more than I have seen since I first went natural when I had the TWA (teeny weeny fro). I give this product a thumbs up from Smooth ‘ n Shine and a rating of a 5 on a 1 to 5 scale.
