Christmas: Call to Action

This is a call to action, People of God.  Romans 8:1, NIV,  Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

This is a time of celebration for many and also a time of despair for others. As most tend to do, we go down a list of what we want for Christmas this year and if they do not give me this or that how upset we would be, but really is this what this season is for? As a Christ follower the answer at least for this Christ follower is a loud, shouting off the top of the roof, NO!!!!

If I used curse words some explicative would be included (ha ha), but seriously this is the time for us to mount up like members of God’s army that we are and show and spread the love of Christ. There are too many souls, as it stands going to hell and right now are contemplating suicide and have no clue that there is no turning back from it. Matthew 28:19, NIV, Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,… You might say what can little ole’ me do? Well you can use that wonderful smile that God has given you to help boost someone that is down up. You could use the baking/cooking skills he has given you to make something for the neighbor that never seems to come out or barely speaks. If you are a writer, get to writing about Jesus and how He loves us all.

You get the point, we all as little anointed ones have a role, a part if you will in the body. We are part of the body. My part is different than yours and your uniqueness is what you can use to sway the people in your realm of influence to Christ. We might be the only Christ they see because some will not set foot in a church because of past hurts and lies that they were told. You being the toe part can help that eye (that does not know that they are an eye) to become that eye, by being the best toe that you can possibly be.

So, what do I want this Christmas? Matthew 18:6, NIV, But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.  We all are being watched by others and our actions can bring them closer to God or further away. I want to be the light that I am called to be. How about you? Matthew 5:14, NIV, 14 “You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

I have members of my family that I am praying for and what I want most is for them to come to and come back to Christ and I pray that may God have mercy on them as well as me, while I decide to be the part of the body that I am called to be. Their souls/lives may be depending on me.  Help us Father to do what you have called us to do.
