Cave Tools: Meat Claws Review
Strong professional grade Meat Claws that can be used with any size and any type of meat, large or small. I chose to use chicken breast which worked out because I wanted to do Pad Thai and needed the meat to be shredded so I killed two birds with one stone. This great new kitchen accessory is great to have especially those that need to shred meat quick fast and in a hurry. The meat still remains tender and moist. You can carry items from the grill with these claws, you can hold the claw with one hand and use the other hand to slice the meat if you…

Gluten Free & Allergen Friendly Expo coming to Atlanta
I am overjoyed at this opportunity. Hubby and I went last year and learned a lot, but this year I was selected to cover the event officially as a blogger. Come meet me there and see why this is one of the hottest expos coming to Atlanta. This is an event that welcomes all of course, but those in particular who have allergies and a sensitivity to gluten. I am still learning and actually looking to incorporate this lifestyle in particular in the area of pregnancy loss. There is supposed to be a correlation between gluten and miscarriage so it is good for those who have challenges in this area…

Come Celebrate Chinese New Year with Tin Drum
Daylight savings time is fast upon us and with that you know what that means? It means that it is time to prepare for Spring. The time where things come alive and with it, it is always time to experience new things. I have already started experiencing that thanks to Association of Food Bloggers. I was invited to try the new menu offerings celebrating the Chinese New Year at Tin Drum Asia Cafe. For those of you who do not know, Chinese New Year is considered a major holiday for some Chinese (in Taiwan, Singapore, etc.) and it is an old tradition that celebrates gods and ancestors. Tin Drum, which…

National Pound Cake Day
Who does not love a celebration? We celebrate everything big and small around these parts, especially life. Whether you are celebrating your 1st year or marriage or the win of your 1st client, there is always something to celebrate. In our household, there are many things to celebrate, but we just decided to celebrate the fact that we love each other and heck because we just love to eat cake. We were privileged to be given 2 delicious pound cakes, just in time for National Pound Cake Day, to which I am very surprised that I have never ever heard of this day. I, the lover of sweets, skipped a…

Crucible Cast Iron Pot Cleaner
Cooking is one of the things that I enjoy doing, but at times frankly it can be quite a task especially when using a cast iron skillet or pot. The last time that I have used one was over a year ago and it was to cook curry chicken for Christmas I believe. I honestly am looking forward to cooking friend chicken in it to see how beautiful the skin will come out. Part of the reason that I shy away from using this type of cookware is because it is a hassle to clean the cookware afterwards. You cannot use soap or a Brillo pad, so when you have…

Slimfast Goodies
It is officially 9 days already from the 3rd month of the New Year and a lot of great things have happened already and I am still believing and Expecting them to come. As part of the New Year’s new beginnings that most of us take part in, I had received from Influenster. This voxbox was from Slimfast and it included several great products that I had a different times within the past few weeks. One of the Slimfast Goodies that was included was an Advanced Nutrition Vanilla Cream Shake that had 20g of high protein and no aftertaste which makes this my #1 protein shake so far. I have…

Easy Spicy Shrimp Recipe
Hey all. Romance has been in the air and is still in the air. Valentine’s Day or Weekend is just another special time to show the one or ones you love how much you appreciate them. For some it involved some expensive dinner out followed by a proposal (so romantic) or something just as romantic, but in the house and a lot less money. We had the best of both worlds, Saturday we spent the evening out with some cool couples but Sunday we decided that it would just be the two of us. I just thought that I would share with you an Easy Spicy Shrimp Recipe that we…

Pre-Valentine’s Day Fun
Nothing red here except for my nails, baby. Red is the standard color for lovers on Valentine’s Day or for anyone going out anytime during that entire weekend. We were out in it right along with everyone else having, Pre-Valentine’s Day Fun. After much back and forth planning it was decided that we would get suited and booted (dressed up) for the afternoon/evening. We went to see Alvin dance at the Fox Theatre in Downtown Atlanta for an exciting family matinee performance. We could not take pictures so therefore I did not include any, but there were beautiful, respect outfits, nothing too revealing on either the males or females. There…

3 Ingredient Oatmeal Cookie
Sweets (any kind including chocolate bars, cookies, cupcakes and cakes) are regularly part of my diet. For the past 21 days we have been on a Daniel Fast and usually I go about making some type of dessert and I almost let this time pass without making some form of sweetie. I have been eating fruit and used that to get my sweets in, but nothing is like biting down into a moist, chewy cookie. To satisfy my need for sweets, I made a 3 ingredient oatmeal cookie that was very simple and it took less than 35 minutes including cooking time. Hubby is not feeling so well, so he…
