Grape Harvest Celebration Party
Harvested grapes can make such beautiful music in one’s glass and that is what we found at the Grape Harvest Celebration Party last weekend. An intimate gathering of people from various races, genders and experiences enjoying great wine, good farm to table pairings, and enlightening conversations. This evening was a special treat for hubby and I because we’ve never been to a winery. This was a collaborated event with The Gifted Ferret, a beautiful shopping boutique and Big Door Vineyards, winery which is currently being built. We checked in and were given our own engraved wine glass that we took to each table to sample the various wines. Let’s get sampling and first…

ProNourishâ„¢, A New Nutritional Drink
I have found out a lot of interesting things about my body since detoxing while on our Hale Fertility Challenge, which helped me lose 15 pounds. I have learned that my body is more sensitive than I thought and it also happened with age. I thought I knew everything, but after having an allergy test done some things were confirmed even more. My body does not like everything and everything is not good for me. How about you? I used to love Fruity Pebblesâ„¢ and Rice Krispiesâ„¢, but later on in life, the milk that I was using (cow’s milk) started not to love me. Almost instantly there would be a…

Georgia Grinders: No sugar added nut butter options
Kid-friendly snacks and meals can be a challenge for all. We want what is best for our kids and it starts with us as parents. We have to ensure that they are eating food that does not contain anything harsh as part of the ingredient list. That is why I love this Georgia grown company, Georgia Grinders aka Naturalmond, because their nut butters have ingredients you can trust and ingredients you can pronounce. I love butter and I stress love butter to the point where I will sit down right beside the kids and eat a peanut or nut butter sandwich but for the most part the nut butter has sugar in it which…

Downtown Detroit Bucket List: 6 Stops 2 Days
Skydiving, snorkling with the fishes, deep sea fishing… We all have some type of list including the things we want to do in the future (near or far), so I decided to share my bucket list for Detroit in hopes that maybe you may want to do some of them yourself. Detroit has been given a bad rap and some honestly is true, however some of it is not and it should not scare you or deter you from visiting. There are plenty of wonderful attractions and great food for you to enjoy in Detroit. My father’s side of the family had a reunion in Detroit recently, so I figured…

Opening night was a success and every night/showing since, so you want to get in to see this awesome play before it leaves Atlanta. The play showing at the Horizon Theatre in Little Five Points, is called ‘da Kink. The play is written by Trey Anthony who has done quite a bit of work in Canada and is also known for her work as a writer on the Chris Rock Show. Gluten Free Salmon Cakes
This is an ole to my mommy. I want to thank her publicly for being such an awesome person. There have been many a day as a grown up that I am exhausted with coming up with new and different recipes, which she managed to do seemingly to me effortlessly. My mommy on occasion when my brother and I were younger would make mackerel croquettes and honestly I could not get past the bones in the mackerel so I never really wanted it, but today, I actually especially on fried fish, love to crunch on those bones and look for bone in fish at restaurants and when available I would…

Beans, beans they are good for your heart. The more you eat them the more you……. Â Beans as a snack? Who would have thunk it? Not I, until I ran across, Beanfields. My turkey nachos will never ever be the same after adding these bean and rice chips to the mix. Hubby and I are major snackers and when he…
