April and May Freebies (Product Reviews)
My living room is looking mighty crazy right now. I cannot have company without them tripping over the boxes that have come in the past couple of weeks. April and May Freebies (Product Reviews) I am so grateful for the chance to review all of these products, from hair products, gluten free products (snack and snacks galore), magazines, Georgia grown/made products, Bibles (one to giveaway), fertility aides (feature coming soon) and books. The full video is below on Youtube: Forgive me for making this sooooo short, but I really have to go and start reviewing. See you next time with the actual product reviews. Take care and thank you for…

Valentia Skin Detoxing Clay Mask Review
Finally, I am back in my own house and I can relax freely. My entire body has paid a price because of the ordeal with have dealt with for the past 5 days. I will go into that in another post, but back to the relaxation. My face, because I have not been taking great care of myself after being in and out of hotels for the past few days, I would always manage to leave some of the necessities at home. I decided to treat myself to Valentia Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask and when I say that it is a treat it was definitely a treat. This company uses…

19th Annual World Natural Hair Show Recap
The 19th annual World Natural Hair Show was one of the hottest events in the Metro Atlanta Area last month. Fashion, entertainment, kidzone, informational sessions and hair products all around, who can resist. There were many new features that they implemented like the Men’s Den. 19th Annual World Natural Hair Show Recap The danger and allure of attending this event is the big time discounts you can receive by attending. The price to attend was very inexpensive and parking was less than $10.00 and I was so excited to attend as media that I paid for someone else’s parking:) The show opens with AnkaFo Drum Dance busting through the doors…

Bantu Knot and Knot Out Tutorial
This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #WholeBlends #CollectiveBias Can you say 70 plus degrees three days in a row!!! Where I am from we do not see that type of weather until June, but here in the Dirty South we get it anytime it wants to show up and this year it started in April. Time for fun in the sun, cute dresses and hot new hairstyles. During the winter months, my hair suffers a lot of breakage that is caused for the most part because in the winters there is not much moisture in the air and who…

Cool Easter Gifts for Men
Easter is certainly not about the Easter bunny or Easter eggs, but watching the little ones open their Easter baskets. Like a lot of people, I have had my fair share of Easter baskets which had candy and/or some type of coloring book with crayons. As an adult, those days of getting an Easter basket have long gone but to be quite honest, sometimes I long for an Easter basket with some of my favorite candies in it. Nowadays, I just want a more adult version of an Easter basket, with things I can use, wallet, jewelry, gift cards, and yes some candy. I have decided, with the help of…

“Fashion in the City” Wild Child Magazine Style
This beautiful building near the Marietta Square hosted an event full of wonderful designers, models and press. I was out of the blue invited to “Fashion in the City” Wild Child Magazine Style, so I could not pass it up. I had a very full day, but I was decided that I had to get to the show. I have heard of this magazine, but this was the first event that I was able to cover and hopefully not the last. It was a room that housed over 80 people, not including the artists or models. Shortly after I arrived, the masters of ceremonies introduced themselves, and all of the…

Pre-Valentine’s Day Fun
Nothing red here except for my nails, baby. Red is the standard color for lovers on Valentine’s Day or for anyone going out anytime during that entire weekend. We were out in it right along with everyone else having, Pre-Valentine’s Day Fun. After much back and forth planning it was decided that we would get suited and booted (dressed up) for the afternoon/evening. We went to see Alvin dance at the Fox Theatre in Downtown Atlanta for an exciting family matinee performance. We could not take pictures so therefore I did not include any, but there were beautiful, respect outfits, nothing too revealing on either the males or females. There…

Freebies, Samples and Amazon Reviews February 2016
It’s been a long time, since I brought you a Freebies, Samples and Amazon Reviews post and quite frankly with the business of everyday life I almost forgot this time. I know hubby does not like packages left in the front room and I do not blame him, but as long I leave the packages near the door I will not forget about them:). That just helps justify the need for an organized small mess, not a big one, but a small square of mess. I hope that I am not alone on this, but it is so easy once you put things up to forget about them. I am…

How to Bantu Knot
Bantu knot is a hairstyle that is one that I happen to enjoy more on other people. I found that it is a great style that looks great on even curlies that are transitioning as well as those who have no chemicals in their hair. I have tried this hairstyle one time prior and I did not like it, but this time I decided to try it on hair that had been twisted the week before and I was just wearing as a frohawk. The first time I did do it, I did it on freshly washed hair and maybe it was the combination of the product and me. Check…
