The Blessings of Unity Book Review and Giveaway

I was given a copy of The Blessings of Unity Book to read and give my opinion about. Marriage is an institution that I fully enjoy. Sure are some of the days challenging? Yes, but I would not change it for the world and more importantly I would not change the man I am married to.

Hubby and I are approaching our 10 year anniversary next year and as many others it has not been the smoothest road. There have been many times we were going to part ways before and with Christ. We both came from very different home situations and experiences and brought that into our marriage which was for the most part a mistake. We did not consider before we were married to seek guidance which is something that I suggest everyone do in Christ or not. It allows you all to examine yourself before you all become one.

Thanks be to God that we are now in Christ and have seen dramatic changes in both of us and it is great when others can see it and testify of it as well. I am not going to say that we do not have our days were we are not in unity, but we do realize that we need to be and strive to be in unity first with Christ and then with each other.

The Blessings of Unity Book Review and Giveaway

The 1st part of the book is an assessment of your marriage that the husband and wife each take the time to answer and then compare notes. The idea is to see and evaluate areas in which one or both of you feel that there is work to do possibly. After that it goes into division and discord (Case, 2015, p. 11), and the author, Richard Case, uses biblical references on what division and discord actually do and how it should not be so.

From there, the book goes into the following topics concerning Unity:

3. Unity comes through abiding in the Word
4. How to handle disagreements and differences of opinion
5. Praying through unity
6. Biblical Examples of Unity
7. Lastly, how God commands the Blessing when there is Unity (Who does not want God’s Blessings)

2) Learning and applying the concept of unity.
