Chef Baul Brings Southern Comfort to Atlanta with Betty Sue’s
Bryant “Chef Baul” Williams, renowned for his culinary expertise honed while serving as a private chef to music icons like Cardi B., Kendrick Lamar, and Gucci Mane, has expanded his reach with the grand opening of Betty Sue’s, an upscale all-day breakfast spot. Located in the heart of downtown Atlanta’s Five Point Plaza at 20 Broad Street NW, the restaurant welcomed its first patrons on Sunday, March 2nd.
This venture marks Chef Baul’s second restaurant opening, realized in partnership with Daniella Williams, a financial literacy expert and former celebrity hairstylist. Together, they previously launched Binky’s, a popular soul food destination. Betty Sue’s, named in loving memory of Bryant’s grandmother, embodies the warmth and comfort of Southern hospitality, offering a cozy dining experience.
The menu at Betty Sue’s features classic breakfast and brunch favorites with a gourmet twist. Guests can indulge in dishes like crispy chicken and waffles, decadent French toast, savory salmon croquettes, fluffy biscuits, sweet cinnamon rolls, and the indulgent oxtails and grits. All can be enhanced with Chef Baul’s signature Hotlanta sauce, a tantalizing honey hot concoction.

Bryant’s culinary journey is a testament to his self-taught talent, blending Southern, Caribbean, and Asian influences. He established Chef Baul Catering in 2013, quickly gaining recognition and attracting a high-profile clientele. He even toured with the rap group Migos as their personal chef. While his initial attempt at restaurant ownership faced challenges, his partnership with Daniella, who brought invaluable business and financial acumen, proved to be the key to success.
Betty Sue’s is now open, serving breakfast and brunch Tuesday through Sunday, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., inviting Atlanta residents and visitors alike to savor the flavors of Southern comfort curated by a chef with a star-studded past.
