Certainly a movie for the entire family and one that is perfect for those who do not want to be preached at. This movie shares a situation that a lot of women find themselves in, but are not given or do not consider all of the options. Not only that, the future of everyone involved isn’t necessarily looked at when making a serious decision such as this a lot of the time and that is why I like this movie. You see the real agony in the characters. It is almost as if you are there in their shoes, but what choice would you have made? You truly have to be strong. Kirk Cameron is one of my favorite childhood actors and as usual, he does not disappoint. The acting in the movie makes sense and shows the real feelings everyone involved tends to have, from the birth mom, birth dad, adoptive parents, and the child themselves.

The adoptive parents go through a horrible incident and more and more realize that they needed to trust God and trust that He knows what He is doing and He is the best at giving gifts. Even at the most inopportune times when people think that they are alone, He finds ways to show His love.

Nor did the birth parents know that taking a chance and getting to know their son was going to be such a gift to them and their families. Gifts sometimes are unexpected but can be the best ones. Wait until you see the twist at the end regarding the true story part.
