Three weekends in a row, Blackberry Daze has dazzled the audiences so that they cannot help but share with others and not only share, but come back again for seconds.

Blackberry Daze Will Put You In A Daze so much so that you will lose track of time. After a few minutes of the show, I thought that I was embodying all of the female characters at one time or another. Each of them faced something that I could relate to and especially the end and trust me you will want to see the end and probably join in:).

I cannot give it away but this play was nonstop action so much so that I found myself making gesters like it was me in the play doing the acting. This was the most involved that I had ever been in one of Horizon Theatre’s plays. You are drawn in from the beginning.

One of my favorite love to hate characters in the play was played by TC Carson, the gentleman that played Kyle Barker in Living Single and he did a magnificent job. His voice is incredible and so are all of the other actors. You will not be disappointed at all.

A Bit About The Play:

It is the end of The Great War, and a small Virginia town is rocked by secrets and seduction as Herman Camm, a provocative gambler (played by TC Carson of Living Single fame), weaves his magic on the lives of three unsuspecting women, Mae Lou and her daughter Carrie, and Pearl, a blues singer at the local juke joint. Award-winning writer/director Thomas W. Jones II is back with his musical adaptation of the novel Blackberry Days of Summer in this emotionally charged stage musical with unforgettable stories of love, hope, survival, and redemption.

Performances are Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 8pm, Saturdays at 3pm and 8:30pm and Sundays at 5pm at Horizon Theatre in Little Five Points/Inman Park (1083 Austin Avenue NE Atlanta, GA 30307) through August 27.
