6 Reasons to Attend Everything Food Conference? #EFC2018
As a blogger, many of us, see all types of conferences around the country and are curious about them and are not sure which ones to attend. That was the case for me when it came to deciding to attend the Everything Food Conference. I had heard about it and said to myself, “Self, so do you think you would want to go to Utah?†In my head, I said sure it is a place that I have never been and so I went on the quest of finding out more about the conference. To help you decide whether or not you want to attend Everything Food Conference 2019 here are 6 Reasons to Attend Everything Food Conference? #EFC2018
I found pictures galore and looked at some of the agendas from past EFC conferences and after a week of deliberation, I had decided to go. I had saved up most of the money and had it stashed in my paypal account and so I went for it.
- Foodie Central: If you are a foodie or a wanna be foodie and want to be surrounded by like-minded people and this is the perfect place for that. Everyone that I heard and that I spoke with, are about food some way or another: Bakers, Chefs, Cocktail Creators, etc they all are here.
- Fulfill One’s Curiosity: I have never been to Utah and truly it was not a lot of people that look like me, but here’s hoping that that aspect will change soon. I have heard of snow capped mountains and I honestly thought that it was a myth, prior to attending the conference, but I have seen first hand that they do exist. Exploring new cities and states is always a fun for me, but I did not explore a lot, even though I had the chance too after the conference day was over, but if I am in an unfamiliar environment alone, I will only go so far:)
- Connections: With brands and other foodies, and just as in any other circle of life, people are protective of their information or knowledge and do not want to share, but there were a lot of bloggers there sharing and making connections with each other. This was fun to watch, which I was able to do due to me volunteering some of my time in exchange for my conference ticket. The brands that attended were engaging, ranging from Kroger, Bob’s Mill, Anolon, Idaho Potato and many of them if you see them in the hallways they would smile and acknowledge you. I have honestly found that that does not happen a lot at conferences. This was a more intimate conference which allowed for better possibility of connections.
- Inspiration and Education: There has not been a conference yet, that I have not been inspired or have not learned something from other foodies and brands. Foodies and brand reps, like Katie Weinner facilitated the breakout sessions and each one there was something to be gathered and take back to use on your own blog and business. Kroger was a highlight for me due to the education they provided along with a healthy meal to back it up. See the spread below that they provided for us.
- Swag Fun: I still have things I have not used yet. What I am waiting for? I do not know, but who doesn’t attend conferences partially for what they can come home with. This is the fun part, after paying the money and traveling which can be tiring, this is one thing that can last for days and/or weeks depending on what goodies you have found in your swag bag.
- Contests: Several go on throughout the event and I actually won 4, which included twitter parties before the event, giveaways from various sponsor’s booths and EFC gives out hellava prizes at the end. Even though, I did not win any from EFC, but it was fun to see what others that I knew and did not know had won.
Hopefully, I have succeeded at giving you 6 Reasons to Attend Everything Food Conference? Are you attending next year? Get tickets here: https://www.foodbloggingconference.com/

Food conference is the only conference that I would want to be willingly. I don’t need 6 reasons to attend it. The fact that is all about food is enough for me.
