This is the season for giving and honestly every day is a day to give, but due to this being the holiday season, it is time to look to assist others and not just ourselves. 5000 Blankets, a new movie that is in selected theaters December 12th and December 13th. This is a feel good and do good movie. It’s incredible what can happen when you transform your heart to serve the people around you.

“Mommy,” he said. “Are you warm?” “Yes, baby, I’m warm.” “Is Daddy warm?” he asked. And then the then 7-year-old son asked about everyone else – the people on the street and in the shelters. His mom told him the truth: “No, not everyone is warm.” Sometimes we just need to let the kids take the lead because can show us grown-ups a thing or two.

Inspired by a remarkable true story, 5000 BLANKETS is filled with hope and highlights the power of family and faith. When her husband has a mental breakdown and goes missing, a woman and her young son set out to find him on the
streets, sparking a movement of compassion towards those in need and inspiring a city.

Phillip’s Wish is an organization that was founded by a little boy who saw a need in the world and decided to do something about it. Watch 5,000 Blankets, the film inspired by the incredible true story, exclusively in theaters for two nights only on December 12 & 13.

Now I want to tell you more, but I think anything beyond saying that it is perfect for this season and is one that will make you reevaluate what you are doing. Based in Texas, it is not a unique story unfortunately. There are lots on the streets in Georgia and it is just so sad. Lots of them have background stories that are just something we could never imagine or understand. That could honestly be you or me, but by the grace of God.
